Naja sighs a long sigh. "Now I can't even talk to myself. All right whatever you say girl." she says, stepping out of her cell and heads off in the direction Kaikoura directed. She frowns a bit at the dark... darkness wasn't really her thing. Hard to fight stuff when you can't see it. She turns and glances at Kaikoura, stopping in the hall for a moment, just looking over her. She didn't think the blue alien knew how to use that.. or at least how to use it properly in a fight.
Naja honestly didn't want to fight Kaikoura though.. she was just a slave. Not her fault. Poor thing didn't seem well treated either.
She then just turns and keeps on going. "So where are we going?" she then asks despite being told not to talk.

"Just ahead" she replies simply as they reach another cell door. This one, however, is a little different. It's larger, for one, for two, though it has the metal bits that generate the bars, they are not active. For three, there is a large actual door set in a frame. It's metal, of course, but highly ornamental...if highly dirty.
"In" Kai says, gesturing with the stick.

Naja looks all about the cell before frowning "Oh good so the whole point was for me to have a roomier prison. How, frigging, nice!" she yells, spinning around and taking a lunge for Kaikoura and her stun wand. Her restraints made her clumsy but she hoped that the surprise would be enough to get ahold of the wand and wrestle it from Kaikoura. Strength would only help her so much. The lack of dexterity was crippling and she was in high danger of getting shocked.

Kai squeaks in fright and straight up drops the baton, falling over onto her seat and squirming backwards. "Stop! Stop! You're supposed to go in" she says quickly, knowing she needed to get a handle on this quickly lest she be punished... she backs herself up against the wall, her long Anai dragging along beside her.
There was a soft beep as the little light on her metal headpiece switched from red to green. "Please. Don't make me use force." she says, sounding less than confident as she pressed against the wall. If Naja made a move, she'd be forced to stop her now.

Naja quickly swipes the baton up into her restrained hands, and holds it out in front of her like a sword. She honestly, has NO idea how to use it at all but she could still swing it.
Naja doesn't approach Kaikoura, standing her ground and holding the weapon firmly. "Tell me what is special about this cage." she demands, eying that metal headpiece. Why did it change colour? "I do not want to hurt you either. I just want to know what is going on! I don't know where I am or what you want with me still."
She considers striking Kaikoura head on.. she thinks it would be easy but it doesn't seem right. She's just a poor slave girl! Even if she is some strange alien creature. It wouldn't be right.

"It's the entrance to the arena" she squeaks before covering her mouth. She pauses...but doesn't receive a shock. "Inside you'll find weapons, then you will have to fight a creature.". She waits for a moment to see if she'll be attacked after all. Not that it would matter if she did. She wouldn't be able to reach Kai, let alone harm her now.
"Please, put down the baton and go inside...or I'll have to make you. Please go."

Naja blinks in surprise, then slowly, grins a wicked grin. "You should have said so." she says, almost in a sultry way. She snaps the wand in two, which sparks wildly in her hands. She throws it down and turns to look into the arena entrance. "See, if you just talked to me, you could have saved yourself a whole lot of trouble. I live for this." she tells Kaikoura, looking back over her shoulder, a tiny glint of madness in her eye. She turns forward again, and marches forward into the cell. Her entire stance had changed. She was scared earlier and angry earlier, completely defensive... but now? She was on the offense and ready to kill. Everything here was so scary and unfamiliar, but this she understood.
"Let me at em!" she roars, to whoever might be listening.

As soon as Naja steps into this new cell, the door slams shut behind her, followed by the eneergy bars activating. The light on Kaikoura's helmet turns red again and she recieves a rather painful shock in the Anai which causes her to leap to her feet.
"I'm sorry" she squeaks "Yes, yes. Right away."
She turns and scampers off down the hall again to handle her next task.
Meanwhile in the room, Naja would find herself momentarily in darkness. She wouldn't have much of a chance to explore however because almost immediately light begin to flash on overhead. Each row illuminating with a loud 'CLACK' and blinding the bound woman. When she was finally able to see again, she would find...weapons. Rows and rows of them. Swords and maces, shields and hammers...even some things she wouldn't recognize. These were more futuristic things...energy whips and the like. Behind her was the door she'd come in...it was sealed...and ahead of her was another door. This one looking much, much sturdier.
The only other appontments in the room seemed to be the macabre sort...it seemed some of the previous occupants were less than thrilled to be in here. Claw marks covered the wall as well as blood and various other fluids in a variety of colors...
There is a screech from a speaker in the upper right corner of the room.
"Choose your weapon" says the now familiar voice of Kai. "and prepare for battle."

Naja stands in the darkness, a grin on her face that won't go away. She may have snapped, or she may just get like this everytime she's given the prospect of killing something hundreds of times bigger than her.
The hunter gives out an angry yell as she's flashed in the face, staggering backwards and trying to hold her bindings up over her face to protect it from additional flashing. She shakes her head and tries to let her eyes adjust back to a reasonable light level, and then starts laughing madly as she sees all the weapons. This, is perfect.
She walks up to a row of weapons and whistles in awe at the sheer variety. She stands there thinking really hard about what she wants... she doesn't know what she needs of course, she has no idea what they're going to pit her up against.
"Do I get to fight whatever it is while being tied up still?" she calls out to the speaker. She has no idea how that works either but she's stopped being impressed and confused by the strange magic of this world.
She eyes the various fluids on the walls, and goes to sniff them before making a face. She didn't know why all these were strange colours but she was well aware of what they might be.
She soon decides on her weapon of choice, reaching her arms out and grasping a nice big hammer. There wasn't anything special about it that she could see, and that's just how she wanted it. She didn't know what she was going to fight, so she needed something reliable. Can't go wrong with a big lump of metal.
"I'm ready." she says, walking towards the next set of doors.

Kai doesn't respond to the question...she might not be able to hear her. Either way, Naja is left in silence to select her weapon of choice. Of course, Kai CAN hear her. She's in the adjacent control room, standing by a monitor and intercom, waiting to give the word for the warrior to be unleashed. As soon as Naja touches her weapon, Kai presses a button on the console before her.
"Good luck" she says, quietly.
Back in the holding area, the heavy doors that were opposite the ones Naja had come in open in a slow, deliberate way. They creak and groan as the machinery works to operate them. The light coming in was considerably brighter than the light in the room, and a lot more natural...like sunlight. Ahead of her, the metal cell floor gave way to a terrain of mostly mud and rocks. The only other thing visible from here was a distant metal wall and a door not unlike the one she was now facing. A roaring cheer drifted into the room as well, though it sounded...wrong somehow.
The only thing left to do would be to exit the room.

Naja walks in the moment there's just enough space for her to get through, not caring to wait for them to open completely.
She glances around, listening to the cheer. "Spectators huh?" she says to herself with a smile, looking around for something to smash as she heads for the door on the other side.
She kept her guard up, ready for anything.

The arena was massive in scope, compared to what might have been expected. At the moment, the ground was bare dirt, entirely featureless aside from a few stray rocks here and there, nothing bigger than Naja's palm of course, surrounded by massive metal walls that stretched high above her. It seemed climbing out would -for the moment- be impossible. Above the walls were dozens, maybe hundreds of glowing blue screens, though Naja might not know that...each one displaying a different creature and all of them spewing loud noises that barely resembled language.
Above the arena was a domed ceiling which seemed to be mimicing a blue and partially cloudy sky, and it definitely had a sun-like orb of light in the middle which lit the whole place.
It was from underneat this that a semi-transparent cube of vid-screens sputtered to life, rotating around slowly far overhead. The creature on the screen was massive and disgusting...and Naja could understand him.
"Skeegax, Ertt, Floweah, and everything in between...welcome to tonights' main event" he belted, his words punctuated by a belch here and there. "We have a very special guest tonight. A regular in our betting circles, appearing on Jachrid Station for the first time ever!"
This statement is met with a mix of cheers and booing, and it's a few minutes before the creature waves a clawed hand dismissively to silence the throng. "Settle down, settle down" he said. "This is the last chance to place bets, folks. Last chance...who will come out victorious? Predator...or Prey??" The cheers begin again as the creature on the main screen laughs delightedly.

Naja blinks, lowering her hammer for a moment. She was surprised at the presence of something natural. Here she thought everything was made of metal and other unworldly materials. Yet here there was dirt and sky... yet it seemed wrong. She didn't really understand, but at least she understood it wasn't real. She sighs and then glances about at the screens, unsure what to think... were these all pictures monsters she had to fight? Moving pictures at that.
Her train of thought stops when the announcer speaks up, the hunter's gaze focusing on the vid screens. Did she get to kill THAT? She sure hopes so. It was hideous. She slowly starts to realise, she could understand it completely, but what was it actually talking about? Special guest? Betting circles? Jachrid station???
Could they have meant her? She performed in arena matches a lot but.. how was she a REGULAR in their circles? She's never seen any of these freaks before!
She grits her teeth, slams her hammer into the ground and points up at the screen. "Less talking, more KILLING." she yells before letting out a shattering roar. Some hunters say she has a wyvern lungs. In reality she just practiced imitating roars a lot. She raises her hammer after her declaration. This can't be an official arena. After killing whatever they pit her up against, she was going to find out what that thing on the moving picture is, and kill it too, but not after getting some damn answers.

"She's a spitfire, this one" the creature on the main screen declares after Naja's little speech, this followed by a somewhat groteque laugh. "But can she put that energy to proper use? Or will she end up like our last little quests?" There's a general commotion from above at this as the crowd ramps up.
"Alright then? Bets are closed. Lets see what sort of arena we're getting today!" The screen above flickers revealing more aliens like Kaikoura standing next to a wheel with a bunch of images that Naja would probably not be able to see, owing to the angle and distance. The blue-skinned creature spins the wheel gently, causing a flurry of exciting lights to flash alongside it and a beeping sort of sound.
"And...we have..." the creature says as the wheel slows. "Ah, a swamp environment." There's a general applause from above as portals in the metal wall high above begin to open, revealing large red gems. The whole area is briefly bathed in a red glow before Naja would suddenly find herself ankle-deep in swamp water. The shift was almost instantaneous...transforming from a dirt nothing to a full-fledged swamp. Above, the image of the sky shifted as well, making the whole thing look just like a real swamp. If it wasn't for the huge metal walls stretching high above the trees which could still be seen, Naja might have thought she'd been sent back to a planet.
"Alright then, lets get started" says the creature, the screen above vanishing with a fizzle. "Release the monster!"

Naja grits her teeth and growls at the announcer, gripping her hands around the hammer's handle. She blinks at the others that were like Kaikoura, and starts getting curious again but she shakes it off, now wasn't the time to wonder about what they were.
She looks up quickly, raising her guard, before suddenly letting out a yelp and falls over backwards. The ground changed under her! She lost her balance! She looks confused and horrified at the arena before her. How did this happen?! It was just dirt moments ago!
Like nearly everything, this just made the hunter mad. She slowly gets up out of the muck, looking furious as she glances about. There was a good chance, she was going to kill EVERYTHING.
"I'll release the monster all right." she mutters under her breath.
